UMO men finish 29th in NCAA D2 national cross country championships

JOPLIN, Mo. -- No. 17-ranked University of Mount Olive, led by Jonathan Dahlke, wound up 29th overall in team competition during the season-ending NCAA Division II men's cross country national championship meet.
It was the Trojans' fourth consecutive appearance and fifth overall in program history.
Dahlke placed 106th individually in 31 minutes, 30.5 seconds. Jacob Urys (32:08.9), Adam Craig (32:14.3), Michael Munoz (32:21.3) and Fredric Lang (32:44.3) also finished among the top 200 runners.
Aki Kitigawa, just one of two UMO athletes -- Munoz is the other -- to compete in four straight national championship meets crossed the line in 33:06.2. Teammate Pol Domenech-Ferrer posted a time of 33:22.5.
Colorado Mines claimed the team title.
