McClain, Oates lead Wayne Christian's boys

Tyrique McClain pumped in a team-high 23 points as Wayne Christian turned back Goldsboro Heat, 71-64, in non-conference action at Clifford Gymnatorium on Friday evening.
Darrin Oates contributed 22 points. Teammates Rayshawn Wellington and Jaxon Anderson knocked six and five points, respectively.
Gavin Portela paced three Heat players in double figures with 28 points. Harman Kaler scored 15, while Jordan Carswell supplied 13 points.
Wayne Christian (3-2 overall) travels to Neuse Christian on Tuesday.
