* Volleyball: Pope John Paul d. Wayne Country Day 26-24, 13-25, 25-19 -- Lexi Jeffreys cranked out 11 kills for the Chargers in their season-ending, semifinal-round loss in the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference tournament. Madison Britton (two aces, four kills, five digs) earned a spot on the all-CPIC tournament team. Kyara Drew served six aces. Cate Eagles contributed four aces, three digs and eight assists. Katie Strickland recorded two digs and four assists. Graysen Jeffreys logged four digs defensively, while Jaden DisDier collected four kills. WCDS finished as the CPIC runner-up in regular-season play.
