CALYPSO -- Juan Garcia provided two first-half goals, but Lakewood stormed back for a 4-2 win during their Carolina 1-A Conference match contested at H.E. Grubbs Field on Tuesday afternoon.
Garcia, ranked among the league's top goal scorers, connected on unassisted goals in the third and 40th minutes.
The Leopards converted a penalty kick in the 48th minute. They tacked on three more goals in the 35th, 36th and 37th minutes.
"(A) good first half. (We) lacked defensive pressure in the second half, allowing Lakewood plenty of opportunities," ND head coach James Foster said.
Rebels goalie Luis Martinez posted 10 saves.
North Duplin (7-5-1 overall, 3-4-1 CC) entertains Neuse Charter today.
