GREENVILLE -- Hunter Bryson and Matt Kierski punched in two goals apiece during Wayne Country Day's 7-0 triumph over Pope John Paul II Catholic HS on Thursday afternoon.
It was a Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference affair.
Ben Cohen and Noah Adkins each contributed one goal and one assist. Lee McDonald knocked in a goal. Jacob Magera supplied an assist.
"We did our job tonight and thankfully the rain held off," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We had to be a little patient as they defended with so many and so deep. We got the win, everybody got playing time and we didn't pick up any injuries, so it was a good day."
