Marquail Al-montaser collected three touchdowns and accounted for 25 points overall in Rosewood's 55-6, non-conference thrashing of South Lenoir at Branch Pope Field on Friday evening.
Barely 21/2 minutes after kickoff, Al-montaser put the Eagles on the board with a 22-yard touchdown run. The senior hauled in two first-half TD passes -- a 35-yard strike in the first quarter and a 5-yard reception in the second quarter -- from quarterback Mike Helt.
Al-montaser finished with just 62 yards of total offense and ended the night a perfect 7-for-7 on PATs.
Mike Woodard, the area's leading rusher, rambled for 139 yards on 15 carries. The senior running back scored on short TD bursts of 7 and 1 yard.
Helt had a 35-yard touchdown run. Tronquill Blue and Dylan Melgar each provided a second-half touchdown.
The Eagles owned a 322-135 advantage in total offense.
"I'm so proud of how this team is playing for one another," said RHS coach Robert Britt, whose team built a 21-point lead within a 61/2-minute stretch in the first period.
"I'm very excited about starting conference play next week playing as well as we are."
Rosewood (3-2 overall) plays host to Hobbton.
