Eastern Wayne can't 'Wade' past Greene Central

SNOW HILL -- Eastern Wayne couldn't stop Tre Wade.
The Greene Central quarterback accounted for 278 yards of total offense in the Rams' 28-0, non-conference victory at the James R. Fulghum Athletic Complex on Friday evening.
It was GC's third shutout this season.
Wade rushed for two touchdowns and completed a touchdown pass to Brad Monroe midway through the opening period. Willie Edwards also scored for the Rams, who handed the Warriors' their first shutout loss since Sept. 21, 2012.
KK Best and Devonte Corum emerged Eastern Wayne's top rushers with 48 and 47 yards, respectively. Blake Hartsfield added 38 yards. Best completed four passes for 69 yards.
The Warriors committed four turnovers.
Eastern Wayne (1-2 overall) entertains West Carteret next Friday.
