ECBL: Gators notch 1st win of season

BEULAVILLE -- Spring Creek snapped a season-opening two-game skid with a 6-2 conquest of East Duplin on the Eastern Carolina Baseball League scene Monday evening.
Matt Dupuy and Will Rouse drove in two runs apiece for the Gators, who improved to 1-2 overall this season. Josh Lebron contributed a double and an RBI.
Will Rouse emerged as the winning pitcher. He yielded two earned runs on seven hits, walked two and stuck out four East Duplin batters.
Spring Creek continues play today at Bethel Christian Academy in Kinston.
