Pitt County Classic: Burke scatters six hits, Hawks beat SW Edgecombe 4-1

BETHEL -- Drew Burke threw a complete-game six-hitter as North Lenoir defeated SouthWest Edgecombe, 4-1, on day two of the Pitt County Classic at North Pitt on Monday afternoon.
Burke yielded one run, walked and retired six SWE batters on strikeouts.
Luke Jackson paced the Hawks' offense with three hits. Caleb Beard (three RBI) and Jacob Baird contributed two hits apiece. Braxton Greene, Ethan Pittman and Orlando Cannon each had one hit.
The Hawks (6-4 overall) conclude Classic play today against New Bern.
