RALEIGH -- Four Rosewood grapplers logged top-five performances during the 43rd installment of the WRAL Invitational contested at Athens Drive.
The Eagles' Rayquon Jones (22-2 overall) claimed third at 220 pounds with a second-period fall over New Bern's Rodney Pender. Teammates Kaleb Smith (170) and heavyweight Kaleb Taylor each earned fourth.
Taylor (17-7) fell to Jack Britt's Byron Bryant 4-3 in semifinal-round play.
Senior Josh Drew took fifth at 182 pounds. Drew is one of nine returning state placers for Rosewood, which collected 116 team points during the two-day Invitational.
The Eagles return home Tuesday for a non-conference tri-meet and then play host to another non-conference tri-meet on Dec. 30.
