North Duplin boys rally past Neuse Charter

CALYPSO -- After trailing by three points at halftime, North Duplin came out firing and outscored Neuse Charter by nine points in the third quarter and claimed a 65-56 win Tuesday evening.
It was the Carolina 1-A opener for both teams.
Tyree Payton scored 22 points. Cedrick Kornegay added 15 points. Travaye Darden chipped in 11 for the Rebels.
Jimmie Sanders led Neuse Charter, the reigning Carolina regular-season champion, with 18 points. DeVante Stevens had 13.
North Duplin (2-3 overall, 1-0 CC) is the guest of Lakewood on Thursday.
