Spartans slip past Golden Falcon boys

SMITHFIELD -- Jarde Spruill pumped in a team-leading 17 points during Charles B. Aycock's 59-55, non-conference loss to Smithfield-Selma on Friday evening.
Cameron Kornegay and Keyshawn Cobb collected 11 and 10 points, apiece. Ian Best and Bryce Jordan each scored six.
The Golden Falcons shot 19 of 23 from the free throw line.
Aycock (0-3 overall) entertains Greene Central on Monday.
