Dayshawn Pridgen rushed for two touchdowns and Eastern Wayne cruised to a 47-0 victory over Southern Wayne in the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference regular-season finale for both teams Friday evening.

Deshaun Boudy, Ricky Steiner, Austin Hite, Malik Richard and Larry Newsome each added a touchdown for the Warriors.

"We played KK (Best) in the first half and Steiner in the second half to finish the game," Eastern Wayne head coach Bubba Williams said. "We threw the ball well, had a turnover or two and some penalties that we need to work on ... kind of our normal stuff.

"As far as offensive execution, it wasn't bad."

Neither was the defense.

The Warriors held the Saints to 102 yards of total offense.

"We had a good night," Williams said. "I felt like his kids played hard, our kids played well. We came out injury-free. That's about what you want moving into the playoffs."

Tyaire Allen paced Southern's ground attack with 48 yards. DJ Graham completed a 10-yard pass to Josh Graham.

"Tonight we moved the ball at times on offense, but did not do a good job defensively of getting stops," SW head coach David Lee said. "Eastern Wayne has great athletes on both sides of the ball that play well in space and if you miss a tackle, they are off to the races.

"I am proud of the effort that all of our kids gave, especially our seniors."

Eastern Wayne (8-2 overall) finished 4-2 against ECC opposition for the second consecutive year. Southern Wayne concluded the season 0-10, including an 0-6 worksheet in conference play.
