Eastern Wayne sweeps Southern Wayne in ECC 3A/4A volleyball

DUDLEY -- Casey Young and Naheria Hamilton cranked out seven kills apiece during Eastern Wayne's 25-23, 25-7, 25-13 conquest of county and Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference rival Southern Wayne.
Young also served six aces for the Warriors, who rose to 4-7 overall and 1-5 against ECC opposition this season. Chelsea Wynn recorded three blocks, while Kayla Acorn handed out nine assists.
Eastern Wayne, which played its first 11 contests on the road due to gym floor repairs, finally gets a home game Tuesday. ECC foe South Central pays a visit with the JV match starting at 4:30 p.m.
