CBA netters blank New Bern

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock rebounded from its first loss of the season on Wednesday and swept Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A conference foe New Bern, 9-0, on Thursday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons remain undefeated (7-0) in ECC play.
Ashton Walker, Casie Belom and Sabrina Johnson each defeated their respective opponent 6-0, 6-0. Teammates Cassidy Coerver, Kassidy Pitchford and Emmie Collins each picked up a singles point.
Walker-Pitchford, Belom-Coerver and Meredith Jones-Haley Creech completed the sweep in doubles.
The Golden Falcons (9-1 overall) visit Southern Wayne on Tuesday.
