Mercer flirts with triple-double against Hobbton

Lexi Mercer was masterful defensively with eight blocks and eight digs as Rosewood defeated Hobbton 25-15, 21-25, 25-21, 25-9 in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams Tuesday evening.
Mercer also had eight kills. Ada Rivera logged six digs 12 assists and two aces. Hannah Daniels had seven kills, four blocks and two aces.
Ashley Thornton chipped in four kills and two digs. Payton Lane had three digs.
Rosewood (3-2 overall, 1-0 CC) is the guest of archrival Princeton on Thursday.
