Princeton shocks once-beaten Pinetown Northside

PINETOWN -- Hailey Wood had a three hits including a home run and four RBI as Princeton stunned once-beaten Northside, 9-3, in third-round play of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
Tori Paul and Savanna Massengill each contributed three hits and two RBI. Charley Cox, Taylor Carroll and Kelsey Peedin each had one hit.
Paul and Wood combined for eight strikeouts inside the circle.
Princeton visits Camden County on Friday. First pitch is 7 p.m.
