Aycock golf team qualifies for east 3A regional

Mitchell Langston earned all-Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference honors and Charles B. Aycock advanced as a team to next Monday's eastern regional.
The Golden Falcons placed fourth overall during regular-season ECC play, and had the lowest stroke average among the league's 3-A teams. Joining Langston are Battle Burnette, Matt Ivey, Ryan Morton, Alex Weaver and Cody Freels.
Southern Wayne is sending three regional qualifiers -- Jon Barrow, Jon Langston and Lucas McKay. Willis Underwood is Eastern Wayne's lone regional participant.
