Hobbton upends Goldsboro in softball

NEWTON GROVE -- Matti Rose Lyon and Shakelia Dawson accounted for Goldsboro's offense in a 16-1, non-conference loss to Hobbton on Friday afternoon.
Lyon batted 1-for-2, while Dawson drove in the Cougars' lone run.
Lyon recorded six strikeouts inside the pitcher's circle.
Goldsboro (0-2 overall) is the guest of Spring Creek on Monday.
