Preps digest: JV, middle school sports

JV sports
* Girls' basketabll: Goldsboro 43, North Lenoir 29 -- The Cougars finished the season unbeaten in Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play. Alicia Hobbs averaged 11.6 points per game and Sterling Jones added seven points and a rebounds a night. Jordan Christian supplied six points a contest and Khamryn Brown averaged five points a game.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Faith Christian-Rocky Mount 47, Wayne Christian 35 -- Wayne Christian finished runner-up in the Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tournament. Austin Kornegay led the Eagles with 30 points and 16 rebounds. Wayne Christian ended the season with a record of 10-8.
