Rosewood boys slip past N. Duplin

Rosewood watched North Duplin's game-tying shot miss the mark and claimed a 64-61 victory in Carolina 1-A Conference action Wednesday evening.
Jon Hair and Dennis Mitchell paced the Eagles' offense with 15 points apiece. Zack Barnes contributed 10 points, while Marquail Almontaser and Ethan Chapin each supplied eight points.
Cody Ivey knocked down a game-high 17 points for the Rebels. Teammates Savon Scott and Cedrick Kornegay collected 15 and 12 points, respectively.
Rosewood (6-11 overall, 5-4 CC) travels to Spring Creek on Friday, while North Duplin (4-11, 2-7) entertains county foe James Kenan today.
