Lee Christian battles back against Wayne Christian

SANFORD -- Wayne Christian led by 14 points at halftime, but suffered a 43-33 defeat to Lee Christian in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference road game.
The Eagles struggled in the third quarter. Ben Sawyer got sidelined with an ankle injury and Tanner Rose fouled out.
The teams combined to shoot 72 free throws -- 44 by Lee and 28 by Wayne Christian. Lee owned a 20-14 edge in made free throws and each team converted nine field goals.
Wayne Christian (1-14 overall, 1-9 CCC) returns to action Feb. 3 against Cape Fear Christian.
