* Boys' basketball: Eastern Wayne 53, C.B. Aycock 32 -- Mortaye Sembly paced the victorious Warriors with 21 points. Yeonte Royal added 14. Justin Russell and Coriante Foye chipped in nine and six points, respectively. Brandon Cowan emerged as the Golden Falcons' top scorer with 11 points. Jesse Snickers and Elijah Bryant scored seven and six points, respectively.
* Girls' basketball: Eastern Wayne 34, C.B. Aycock 18 -- Taliyah Green led the Golden Falcons with four points. Aycock dropped to 2-9 overall this season.
* Girls' basketball: Southern Wayne 57, J.H. Rose 49 (OT) -- Monica Manley led the Saints' offense with 28 points. Mikayla Tyndall knocked 18 points. Southern Wayne (7-8 overall) claimed its first Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference victory in five outings this season. The Saints entertain archrival Eastern Wayne on Tuesday.
* Boys' basketball: Kinston 44, Goldsboro 38 -- Kisheem Faison scored 13 points in the Cougars' road loss.
* Boys' basketball: Faith Christian 35, Raleigh Christian 23 -- Anderson Raleigh led the Conquerors with 13 points.
