Josh Drew became the lasted inductee enshrined Rosewood High's Century Club and the Eagles posted a 5-0 record during a six-team dual meet contested at Eastern Wayne High School.
Drew (21-0 overall) collected his 100th triumph with a 92-second fall over Eastern Wayne's Julian Bruton in the final match of the night. The junior also posted wins over grapplers from Goldsboro, Clinton, Farmville Central and East Duplin.
"Joshua has worked so hard to achieve this goal and the whole team rallied around him to get there," RHS head coach Bill Edmundson said.
Kaleb Taylor and Jordan Batson each ended the day 4-0. Evan Reiss, who is competing with a torn ACL, logged a 3-0 worksheet along with Ticoree Owens.
Overall, 23 Rosewood wrestlers saw action on the mat.
The Eagles (19-1 overall) defeated all five teams by a comfortable margin and now have 496 wins in program history.
"This is, by far, our best start in the history of the program," RHS head coach Bill Edmundson said. "We just need to remain focused, and increase our intensity and physicality because it's only going to get tougher from here. The five matches were brutal to some of our guys, but this prepares them for the postseason."
