BETHEL -- North Lenoir sophomore Doug Penny and teammate Keywan Morgan each earned a bronze medal (third place) in their respective weight classes during the Panther Invitational contested at North Pitt High School.

Penny posted a 4-1 record at 120 pounds. Morgan, a senior heavyweight, also finished the day 4-1. Each grappler shared third place due to the five-match rule.

Junior James Durant won one match at 152 pounds.

Daven Kittrell compiled a 3-0 record at 120 pounds in the junior varsity portion of the Invitational. Tyler Carraway finished 1-1 at 145 pounds, while junior heavyweight Adam Williams also ended the day 1-1.

"All (the guys) wrestled hard and gave a valiant effort," first-year NL head caoch Patrick Cline said.
