Rosewood matmen post 4-1 record

Rosewood put five different lineups on the mat and returned home with four victories during a multi-team, non-conference wrestling meet contested Wednesday evening.
The Eagles (10-1 overall) shut out North Johnston 84-0, and handed defeats to Elizabeth City Northeastern, perennial Big East 3-A power Rocky Mount and Louisburg,
Holly Springs dealt Rosewood its lone defeat.
RHS head coach Bill Edmundson called upon the services of 28 wrestlers on the day.
Chad Keefer and Ticoree Owens started every match and combined for five individual victories.
Josh Drew, Jayden Thomas and Malique Boyd each posted a 3-0 worksheet. Kaleb Smith and Nick Martin ended the day with identical 3-1 records.
Alex Godwin, Cameron Helt, Garrett Tyndall, Rayquon Jones, Jordan Batson, Blake Dean, Kaleb Taylor, Andrew Magliochetti, Quan Joyner, Sam Drew, Evan Reiss, Matt Raynor, Dalton Teachey, Trevor Thompson, Tyree Chavious, Bryan Clayton and Isaac Stancil also emerged victorious.
Rosewood is the guest of county foe Charles B. Aycock on Tuesday. The Golden Falcons are 4-4 overall after enduring a 16-point loss to New Bern in their Eastern Carolina 3-A/4A opener Tuesday.
