JV sports
* Boys' basketball: North Lenoir 56, C.B. Aycock 45 -- Shawn Davis paced the Hawks with 10 points. Jaylin Lynch had eight points and Jamaious Williams scored seven. Chandler Matthews finished with 15 points for the Golden Falcons. Jaquan Ray added 12 points.
* Boys' basketball: Goldsboro 86, Rocky Mount Prep 33 -- Goldsboro's Kiasheem Faison scored a game-high 28 points. All 14 Cougars scored.
* Girls' basketball: North Lenoir 42, C.B. Aycock 34 -- The Hawks' Rahziyah Hutchins led all scorers with 19 points. Armenia Lynch contributed 12 points. Lexie Edmundson scored 14 points for the Golden Falcons. Sean-Keya Faison had 13 points.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Wayne Country Day 53, Wayne Christian 46 (OT) -- Marcus Metcalf scored 26 points for the Chargers. Sam Dively added 18 points.
* Girls' basketball: Wayne Christian 39, Wayne Country Day 28 -- Kasey Norris led the Eagles with 22 points. Georgia Parnell contributed 13 points. Wayne Christian (4-0 overall) entertains Lee Christian on Dec. 3.
