Preps digest: Middle schools

Football: Spring Creek 20, Eastern Wayne 18 -- Gators' quarterback Will Archer rushed for two touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass to both Landon Smothers and Dominique Morse. The scoring strike to Morse covered 70 yards. Nick Strickland, Gabe Barfield, Josh Lebron and Michael Russo each had five tackles. Morse had a pair of interceptions. Spring Creek improved to 6-0.
Volleyball: Rosewood d. Brogden 25-3, 25-10, 25-14 -- Alaysha Warren had nine aces for the Eagles. Rosewood (13-1 overall) entertains Greenwood on Oct. 30.
