Rosewood's Burton emerges medalist on GMGC links

Lindsey Burton earned medalist honors with a nine-hole round of 45 to lead Rosewood to a victory in a three-team match at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles compiled a team score of 145. Princeton finished second with 178. Neuse Charter did not record a team score.
Rosewood's Taylor Gales recorded a round of 48. Madison Overby and Alana Pipkin each shot 52.
The Eagles return to action at The River in Bunn on Thursday.
