Dixon bowls over North Duplin

HOLLY RIDGE -- Daron Goodman and Emiliano Mora each recorded 100-yard nights in the backfield, but Dixon strolled past North Duplin, 46-19, on Friday evening.
The Bulldogs beat the Rebels for the first time since 2009.
Goodman rushed for 141 yards on 19 carries, including a 15-yard touchdown in the opening quarter. Mora grinded out 118 yards on 12 totes.
Savon Scott returned a fumble two yards for a second-quarter TD. Quarterback James Britt rushed for a 34-yard TD in the final quarter and ended the contest with 32 total yards on six attempts.
North Duplin (2-2 overall) plays host to Lejeune on Sept. 27.
