Spring Creek upends perennial power Lakewood

SALEMBURG -- Spring Creek improved to 3-0 with a 25-18, 12-25, 25-22, 25-22 win at Lakewood on Tuesday evening.
It was the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams.
Rachel McCollum finished with 15 kills, five digs and two aces for the Gators. Olivia Martinez had 12 kills and three digs. Dianna Carreno distributed 12 assists and Sarah Ford added 10 assists.
Spring Creek (1-0 CC) continues conference play at home Thursday against Neuse Charter.
