Cougars strike for goals, but fall at Hobbton

NEWTON GROVE -- Damon Pate tallied a goal and assisted on another goal during Goldsboro's 8-5, non-conference shootout loss to Hobbton a rain-soaked pitch.
Aaron Pate, Mickey Eovine, Jesus Quiroz and Luke McAlduff each collected one goal for the Cougars.
Jared Howard and Xan Pate each recorded an assist.
The Cougars (0-2-0 overall) entertain Eastern Wayne on Monday. Kick-off is 6 p.m. at Cougar Stadium.
