JV football: C.B. Aycock 22, Rosewood 8

Charles B. Aycock quarterback Jake Flowers threw for 133 yards to lead the Golden Falcons to a 22-8 win on Thursday night at Branch Pope Field.
Flowers completed all five of his pass attempts to Chandler Matthews.
Tim Farmer paced Aycock's ground attack with 29 yards rushing and a touchdown. Josh Wallace supplied 19 yards on the ground and a score. Caleb Gough rushed for 14 yards and a touchdown. Jaret Paynter had 27 rushing yards.
Wallace and Paynter both finished with seven tackles. Farmer tallied six tackles, while Gough had four.
Rosewood (0-1 overall) travels to Chocowinity Southside on Aug. 29. Aycock (1-0) visits North Lenoir on Sept. 5.
