Princeton's Paul, Wood combine for 2-hit shutout

PRINCETON -- Tori Paul yielded two hits in a six-inning stint and Princeton eliminated Hobbton, 2-0, from the NCHSAA 1-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
Paul fanned seven Wildcat batters and threw 10 first-pitch strikes. Hailey Wood tossed one inning of no-hit relief for the Bulldogs, who extended their win streak to 16 games.
Logan Pace paced the Bulldogs' offense with two his. Charley Cox and Taylor Johnson provided one hit apiece. Paul and Kasey Johnson each drove in a run.
Princeton (18-2 overall) entertains archrival Rosewood on Friday.
