Faith Christian softball finishes NCCSA 2A state runner-up

KINSTON -- Wilson Christian claimed the 2013 N.C. Christian Schools Association 2-A state championship with an 11-0, mercy-rule win over Faith Christian on Saturday afternoon.
The Conquerors' Hannah Stocks earned all-state honors for the second consecutive season. Teammate Abigail Pierce received all-region accolades for the second straight year.
Faith Christian (8-7 overall) was making its seventh final four appearance in the past nine years. The Conquerors won three consecutive state championships from 2006-08 and were state runners-up in 2009.
