HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- No. 24-ranked Mount Olive College matched its lowest team score of the week and overtook one team on the final day to finish 19th in the 2013 NCAA Division II men's golf South/Southeast Regional.

The Trojans fashioned a 54-hole score of 928 on the Mission Inn Resort and Club links.

Freshman Sebastian Andersen carded the Trojans' lowest individual 18-hole score for the tournament with a 74. Andersen tied for 84th out of 108 golfers with a 234. Andersen shot five birdies Wednesday after scoring birdie only once in the first two rounds.

Kyle Simpson (231) and Mark O'Hara (231) tied for 62nd. Jesus Valderrama (233) tied for 84th and Dalton Gore (233) tied for 98th.

MOC jumped eight shots ahead of Lincoln Memorial and finished just two strokes behind Valdosta State (Ga.) University.

The Trojans were making their fourth NCAA tournament appearance in program history.

Baseball

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive remained No. 1 in the final regular-season NCAA Division II Southeast Region poll.

The Trojans (46-6 overall) concluded regular-season play with a 6-3 triumph over in-state foe Winston-Salem State, which topped last week's Atlantic Region poll.

USC Aiken is second, followed by Armstrong Atlantic State and Lander. Coker is fifth, Montevallo (Ala.) is sixth and UNC Pembroke is No. 7.

MOC seeks home-field advantage for the six-team regional, which will determine one of eight berths to the NCAA Division II College World Series in Cary.

Conference Carolinas champion Coker (S.C.) College and South Atlantic champion Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) have clinched automatic bids. The Peach Belt automatic qualifer will be decided this weekend.

Three at-large teams will complete the field.

The 64-team, eight-regional field will be announced late Sunday evening on ncaa.com.

Hawn Cup

HIGH POINT -- Mount Olive College placed second overall in the 2012-13 Conference Carolinas Hawn Cup competition.

The Trojans finished second in the men's Hawn Cup with 147.5 points and third in the women's Hawn Cup.

MOC captured a pair of regular-season conference championships and three conference tournament crowns during the Spring. The baseball, men's volleyball, softball and men's tennis teams each finished among the top four in regular-season play.
