Bulldogs trip up Saints on soccer pitch

PRINCETON -- Princeton held off Southern Wayne for a 2-1 non-conference win on Thursday evening.
McKenzie Smale and Peyton Whitley both scored for the Bulldogs. Jessica Brush contributed an assist. Amber Hill recorded 16 saves in goal. Cynthia Rivera scored for the Saints.
Princeton (7-4-1 overall) opens Carolina 1-A Conference play Monday at home against Goldsboro. Southern Wayne (5-7-0) plays host to Cleveland on Monday.
