Oakwood trips up Wayne Country Day

GREENVILLE -- Cody Neal went the distance on the mound and cranked out two hits at the plate in Wayne Country Day's 7-1 loss to Oakwood in Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference play Tuesday afternoon.
Neal also doubled in three official at-bats. On the mound, the senior right-hander permitted three earned runs, struck out nine and walked six in six innings.
John Strickland added an RBI for the Chargers.
Wayne Country Day (5-6 overall, 0-2 CPIC) plays host to Freedom Christian on Friday.
