Rosewood offense wakes up in late innings

Rosewood pushed across five runs in both the fourth and sixth innings of a 12-2 triumph win Carolina 1-A Conference foe Ayden-Grifton.
Charlotte Kornegay paced the Eagles with four hits and an RBI. Anna Ingram contributed three hits and an RBI. Alicia Burns (two RBI), Amanda Beckert (RBI), Kayla Hardee (RBI) and Callie Thornton each collected a hit.
Beckert earned the win inside the pitcher's circle.
Rosewood (5-2 overall, 1-0 CC) visits Goldsboro on Friday.
