Golden Falcon girls advance in 3-A playoffs

SOUTHPORT -- Taylor Daniels knocked down 15 points to lead C.B. Aycock past South Brunswick, 52-20, in first-round action of the NCHSAA 3-A playoffs Monday evening.
The Golden Falcons (13-13 overall) play host to Havelock on Wednesday.
Daniels shot 7 of 11 from the floor and collected three steals against the Cougars. Myleah Jones added 14 points and five rebounds. Lauren Butler pulled down six boards, while Quanika Artis dished out three assists.
