Simmons siblings selected

Charles B. Aycock senior Tara Simmons and younger brother Wesley have been selected to represent North Carolina during the Carolinas-Georgia Junior Golf Invitational at Mt. Vintage Golf Course in North Augusta, S.C.
The two-day, 36-hole event is Jan. 20-21.
Tara won her second straight N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3-A women's golf championship last October, while Wesley -- a freshman -- helped lead APA to the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Class 2-A men's golf crown.
Tara is making her fourth appearance in the Invitational.
The winner gains full exemption into American Junior Golf Association tournaments.
