ROCKY MOUNT -- Rocky Mount triumphed in the final three individual bouts and turned back Princeton, 45-36, on Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs (2-2 overall) built a nine-point advantage on the strength of six pins during the non-conference affair.

Jesse Tomljenovich put Princeton the board with a 43-second pin at 160 pounds. Teammates Patrick Norris (170 pounds), Michael Daughtry (106), Martin Bayles (113), Hart Holt (120) and Holden Holt (126) followed suit as the teams traded victories over an 11-match stretch.

The Gryphons (14-2) responded with a match-ending 15-point run. Ahjailah Simms scored a decision at 132 pounds. Teammates Tyler Brown and Rayshawn Elliott each pinned their respective opponent to cap the comeback.

Princeton grapples again Saturday at Eastern Wayne in the inaugural Warrior Classic.
