* Boys' basketball: Goldsboro 46, Southern Nash 41 -- Eric Bufkin led Goldsboro with 14 points. Daktavius Wheeler added nine points and Nashir Bowden finished with eight. Goldsboro improved to 2-0 overall.
* Boys' basketball: C.B. Aycock 55, Rosewood 27 -- Jimmy Ellis led C.B. Aycock with 18 points and 10 rebounds. T.J. Morrow added eight points and 10 boards. C.B. Aycock improved to 3-1 overall.
