Southern Wayne rolls over South Johnston in tennis

DUDLEY -- Southern Wayne turned back Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference foe South Johnston 8-1 on Thursday afternoon.
Hope Jones, Taylor Davis, Mollieanne Kennedy, Hope Rose, Claire Kennedy and Cierra Moody each recorded a victory in singles play for the Saints. The doubles teams of Jones-Mollieanne Kennedy and Davis-Rose were also winners.
Southern Wayne (8-8 overall, 5-5 ECC) entertains North Lenoir on Tuesday.
