JV football: Rams edge Saints

DUDLEY -- Cleveland slipped past Southern Wayne 30-28 on Thursday night.
Xavier Pearsall scored on a 65-yard rushing touchdown for the Saints. Shamar Faison added rushing touchdowns of 45 and 20 yards. Tyiarre Allen scored on the ground from four yards out. James Leonard provided a two-point conversion and Marquaill Roddick hauled in a pass on a two-point conversion from Carter Jones.
Faison and Roddick both recorded eight tackles and Josh Jernigan supplied six tackles.
Southern Wayne (2-3) travels to Eastern Wayne on Oct. 4.
