Chargers snap skid in CPIC volleyball action

WILSON -- Wayne Country Day earned its first Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference win of the season with a 25-12, 25-14, 25-16 victory Thursday night at Greenfield.
Jessica Zhou distributed 14 assists to go with six aces and five kills. Sarah Crooks finished with 12 digs, eight kills and five aces. Hanna Pearson provided 10 kills, six digs and five aces. Bailee Creger added four aces, three kills and three digs.
Wayne Country Day (8-7 overall, 1-5 CPIC) plays host to Freedom Christian on Tuesday.
