Preps digest: JV, middle school, youth sports

JV sports
* Volleyball: Rosewood d. Wilson Fike 29-27, 25-8 -- Jordan Martens finished with a team-high seven assists. Lexi Mercer tallied five kills and four digs. Rosewood improved to 12-1 overall.
Middle schools
* Soccer: Wayne Christian 8, Cape Fear 0 -- Jaxon Anderson scored two goals in the win. Sawyer Hudson, Holden Jones, Jacoby Oliver, Ethan Taylor, Jeremy Bentley and Alex Maxwell each scored one goal. Wayne Christian improved to 3-1 overall.
* Volleyball: Norwayne d. Dillard 25-5, 25-6, 25-7 -- Norwayne improved to 2-0 on the season.
* Volleyball: Spring Creek d. Mount Olive 17-25, 20-25, 25-10, 25-18, 15-6 -- Becky Coor led the Spring Creek attack with nine aces. Karyme Reyes added two kills and four aces in the win. Spring Creek improved to 2-1 overall.
Youth sports
Neuse River Football League
12-Under
* C.B. Aycock 35, Goldsboro Chiefs 7 -- Offensive standouts for the Little Falcons were Jordan Woodard, Jonas Creel, Jordan Williams, Cody Whaley, Carson Smitherman, Blake Gipson, Alec Pine and Tyler Parrish. Defensive standouts were Luke Frederick, Carl Floras and Xavier Eutsey.
