Preps digest: JV, middle school roundup

JV sports

* Volleyball: Rosewood d. Ayden-Grifton 25-22, 25-14 -- Callie Thornton recorded two kills, a dig and an ace for the Eagles (10-1, 1-0 CC). Jordan Martens added two assists.

* Volleyball: Goldsboro d. North Duplin 25-17, 25-21 -- Kaylee Lion led the Cougars with four aces.

* Volleyball: Epiphany d. Wayne Country Day 26-24, 25-21 -- Tiffany Larsen paced the Chargers with five kills and four aces. Olivia Dively added three aces and Cheyenne Canuette had three digs.

* Volleyball: Greene Central d. Tarboro 25-16, 25-23 -- The Rams' Rebecca Webb finished with six aces and two kills.

* Soccer: Greenfield 3, Wayne Country Day 1 -- John Thompson scored the Chargers' lone goal on an assist from Noah Adkins.
