Post 11 in Area I East finals

Wayne County Post 11 begins defense of its Area I East championship at home today against Pitt County Post 39.
Game 1 in the best-of-five series, which alternates between each team's home field, is 7 p.m. on the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex. Game 2 is Saturday at Pitt Community College.
Post 11 swept the regular-season series against Post 39.
