* Rosewood got its offense rolling early and never looked back in a 6-0 win over Spring Creek on the Carolina 1-A Conference soccer scene on Wednesday night.
Cory Smith scored four goals for the Eagles. Logan Bill added one goal and three assists. Marrissa Hill tallied the Eagles' final goal. Rachyle McAlduff and Samantha Allen each had an assist.
Rosewood (6-4-2 overall, 4-0-0 CC) travels to Goldsboro on Monday night.
Softball
Southern Wayne 7,
Eastern Wayne 4
* DUDLEY -- Southern Wayne picked up its first win in over a month with a 7-4 decision of Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference rival Eastern Wayne on Wednesday afternoon.
Hailey Warren got the win in the pitcher's circle. Warren allowed four runs on seven hits.
Madison Davis paced the Saints at the plate with two hits and two RBI. Hope Rose also added two hits.
Southern Wayne (4-17) plays host to South Johnston tonight, while Eastern Wayne (1-15) entertains Charles B. Aycock.
